Spectacular Science Shows
No visit to Questacon is complete without watching (and participating in!) a presentation by our science theatre troupe The Excited Particles.
Our vast repertoire of shows will allow you to learn about dinosaurs, spiders, rockets, balloons, liquid nitrogen and more! Our Spectacular Science Shows are suitable for children and adults. For our younger visitors (2-5 years old), you can also check out a puppet show!
Spectacular Science Shows
Our Spectacular Science Shows will deepen your understanding of science and technology through humour, character, live demonstrations and audience volunteers!
All shows are free with your paid Questacon admission and are presented at various times throughout the day. All shows run for 30 minutes.
Shows in the Japan Theatre are supported with a Hearing Loop.

Puppet Shows
Especially for pre-school children, our science based puppet shows are a great way to get the little ones interested in learning. They are presented Monday to Friday mornings during school holidays.

Join Mutty the Muttaburrasaur (the cheekiest dinosaur in the world) as he gets into all sorts of prehistoric adventures!
- Little Flower Seed
Our little flower seed grows up to be a big, beautiful flower, and along the way meets the sun, a cloud, a worm, a bee and the big bully grasshopper!
